Resolute Civic Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a more informed and engaged America. Our mission is to equip young people, first-time voters, infrequent voters, and underserved communities with the civic knowledge and issue awareness they need to build a resiliency to misinformation and participate fully in democracy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit resoluteciviceducation.org (the "Site") or interact with our digital advertising, emails, or text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Site or otherwise providing us with information, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or share your information with us.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly. This includes your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and any other information you submit through petitions, sign-up forms, surveys, event registrations, or correspondence with us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect certain information about your device and how you use the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies — see Section 5 below.

Information from advertising platforms. We run digital advertising campaigns to encourage civic engagement. If you interact with our ads (for example, on Meta, Google, or similar platforms), those platforms may share aggregate or interaction-level data with us consistent with their own privacy policies and your settings on those platforms.

Information from third parties. We may supplement the information above with information from publicly available sources, data co-ops, or vendors (for example, voter file data or commercially available marketing data), consistent with applicable law.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Communicate with you about civic engagement opportunities, campaigns, and issues we work on

• Send you emails, text messages, or mailings (where you've provided a phone number or address for that purpose)

• Personalize and measure the effectiveness of our digital advertising and outreach

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Site

• Analyze usage trends and understand our audience

• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of Resolute and others

3. Political and Advocacy Communications

Resolute Civic Education is a 501(c)(3) organization and engages in civic engagement work. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information with vendors and partners who help us carry out our mission (see Section 4), and, where legally required or appropriate, with coalition partners for shared civic engagement initiatives.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as email delivery, text messaging, digital advertising, data hosting, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us

• Coalition and campaign partners, where you've opted in to joint communications or where sharing supports a shared civic engagement effort

• Legal and safety purposes, if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Resolute, our supporters, or the public

• In connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections

We do not sell your personal information as that term is defined under applicable state privacy laws.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to recognize your browser, remember preferences, measure ad performance, and understand how visitors use the Site. This may include tools such as web analytics and advertising pixels from third-party platforms.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the Site functions. Where required by law, we will provide a cookie consent banner allowing you to manage non-essential cookies.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Email and text opt-out. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email we send. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any text from us. You may still receive occasional transactional or administrative messages.

Access, correction, and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses of your data. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 9.

Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected such information, we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
